They will just be going through their connections made 12mth or so ago... They are not allowed to do this and will prob try to get you to port or take new connection if you call in the store...

Actually companies are allowed to send you special offers and updates with your permission, which should be asked when you give your details in store originally. As mentioned above, they just send out texts to connections they made 12+ months ago in order to attract you into the store.
