No, just that getti is a T-Mobile employee and has started a thread to push one of their products on the forum... granted it is a phone forum hence the smilie, any other product and it would be considered .

Sorry Getti, but it is still spam. Because it is a T-Mobile employee posting T-Mobile content doesn't make it any different.
There are paid adverts, which appear between forum posts, surly this post borders on an advertisement too?

No disrespect or offence meant to getti who is a long-time and respected poster here, but I just felt it necessary to make the point that this is borderline spammage/advertising as getti - a T-Mobile employee - has a vested interest in the product being discussed in this thread.

I'm sure the only intention is to engender discussion of the T-Mobile G1, but I somehow feel that this discussion should happen "organically" rather than be kick-started by a representative of the vendor, no matter who they are. Now, if the thread were about Google Android in general then I wouldn't have any objection whatsoever, and the same would apply if this G1 thread had been started by a non-T-Mobile representative (preferably without the T-Mobile press release as the opening post!)

I hope that clarifies my position...
