It's only my personal opinion but with the T30 I think the silver looks better. It's kinda traditional digi cam colour to me but then I again I haven't seen either in the flesh, just going on the pics above and reviews.

OK, i'm buying myself a digi compact tomorrow.
Do I go for the T30, or the Nikon S6?
Opinions please!
Ta :D
I have the Sony DSC N1 and its absolutely mint!!!
The T series of Sony's cybershots is also great (had a T9 temporarily) but the one thing with them is their lack of manual controls, thus I went for the N1 with full manual exposures etc.
If you want a point and click then either the T or N series are great. If you want something thats going to allow you to become a little more adventureous in the future (i.e as your skills develop) then I would say the N1 is your best option due to the manual controls. The 3" toutch screen is also nice and the shots are close to best in class.
I personally wouldn't go for the Nikon as I know 2 people that have had one and sent it straight back due to poor picture performance.
Some of the reviews have been non too favourable either, think its quite a mediocre cam but I have no first hand experience to back that up sorry
There was a new Fuli F30 with iso's as high as 3200 but its quite a bit thicker than either the N1 or T30, also its been a bit of a let down in terms of image quality in comparrison to what people were expecting.
I'd say go Sony, they seldom make a bad camera. If you want simplicity as well as manual controls get the N1, if you want simplicity in a slightly smaller shell, get the T30
The N1 is a good compromise if its your sole camera and you don't have say an SLR, you can push it a bit further than a standard point and shoot.
I agree though, if you have a SLR and simply want a point and shoot, although I still think the N1 is a great choice, there are slightly smaller and cheaper models on the market and the N1 loses points on both those counts I guess (size / costs).
I nearly held out for it TBH but as I only planned to have one camera (not all as flush as you buddy, mr two cam's) ;), so I just thought having that little bit of added functionality for my eventual photographic progress would be good.
Lets face it, (I hate being a brand fanboy) but pretty much all of Sony's compacts are lovelly and mostly all take superb pics ;)
Would love a D-SLR eventually though. Probably a good idea to get the 9k house deposit out of the way with first though lol
I think I'm going to go with the T30. N1 looked a bit bulky and the touch screen a bit fiddly.
